meatless monday: the NYC dining out edition

Sometimes, you just don’t feel like cooking on Meatless Monday. Fortunately if you’re in NYC, you have no reason to fret: vegetarian/vegan options abound for every breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, dessert, and happy hour. One of my favorite blogs, GirlieGirl Army (“your guide to glamazon living”), posted this guide to eating in New York (Part 1!). Foodies will appreciate the list’s culinary aptitude (no “I’ll just have a green salad, thanks”), and vegans will appreciate the variety of offerings.

Babycakes gluten-free + vegan bakery: a stone's throw from my apartment in the Lower East Side.

I can personally vouch for the deliciousness of Babycakes, Wild Ginger, Teany, and One Lucky Duck. After seeing this list, dying to try Lula’s Sweet Apothecary.

Other great places:
Candle Cafe
Angelica Kitchen
Caravan of Dreams

What are some other places you’ve tried and loved?
